Within the next few weeks, I'll be updating the existing image to include fluxes from terrestrial sources and to improve the quality of the image. The draft is currently in my sandbox, and I welcome feedback prior to making it live. Thanks! ScienceBuzz (talk) 17:07, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The existing wiki article for the silica cycle contains high quality writing, is factually accurate, and uses functioning links to a variety of sources. The illustration of the marine silica cycle appears to be original work and conveys clear and concise information which should be readily accessible to a general audience. The weathering section could be improved by using the chemical formula for a more relatable example, such as quartz, which would serve the dual advantage of also being a mineral that appreciably contributes to the silica cycle. Using wollastonite in this example provides an interesting chemical formula but may erroneously indicate that wollastonite significantly contributes to the silica cycle.
